Eileen Sheridan rode her bicycle from Lands End to John o' Groats in 2 days, 11 hours, 7 minutes, breaking gender rules and speed records until retirement.
In her own words.
Lands End to John o'Groats is about 850 miles. I would be completely broken if I attempted to cover half that distance in the same amount of time—and I've done some pretty long-distance riding. Astounding indeed.
