I've been having a pretty good day, actually, and having watched this video, I feel immune to any possible negative changes in the quality of the day.

Also, people who will get face-down on the floor to play with pets (or kids) are the best kinds of people.

Also: SQUEEEEE!

That little dictatorial monster is repeatedly putting its foot down. Don't be fooled by the cuteness of that boss.

Just to confirm: yep, it's adorable.

After the above the fold FPP I was thinking "boy he didn't really monger any fear at all". Thanks (?) for rectifying this!

Anyway: I feel like Jim Henson just have seen one of these at a formative age.

This is why I do not have a little dog: my productivity would drop to zero as I spent all day every day lying on the floor and scratching his little tummy and letting him nibble my ears.

Meet Rooney.

I saw this a few days ago, and ever since then I've been trying to figure out what the opening notes to the music are reminding me of. I think it might be the theme song to some Japanese or American cartoon show, where those opening notes accompany the name of the show or something. Argh!

Oh yeah, also, that is a cute puppy.

Waaait, my brain just burped up "Spinning on Air - with host David Garland" to match the tune. That can't possibly be right, can it?

Rooney is also adorbs!

When it comes to body language, the only way this guy could be more fluent in dog is if he had done the "shoulders down / ass up" pose, because clearly, he wanted to play.

Do you have anything in spaniel?

I RSS a couple "cute animals" tumblrs specifically as 'life chasers', and recently I've been treated to a puppy so cute he considers his own mirror reflection a threat, this gif of somebody's dog-headed roommate, and this puppy who you can apparently get at your local theater's concession stand (let's all go to the lobby!)

It's good to be reminded the cats do NOT have a monopoly on the kyooot.

I was spinning my wheels trying to figure out where I'd heard this before and finally recalled that it's the theme music from "My Name is Nobody" Not sure if that'll scratch your itch, but it took care of mine.

Does this puppy have adorable big floppy ears and huge paws like a German Shepherd puppy does?

Because, if it does not, then I fear you may be mistaken re: its status as most adorbs puppy in the universe.

I am not mistaken. Pls see Exhibit A.

Can't. Too busy watching German Shepherd puppy videos.

"shoulders down / ass up" pose

That's the "play bow" in dog body language. That's a real term.

Thanks fffm! Today I was stressed but now I am a puddle of bliss. I want to loop this and watch it for approximately the rest of my life.

I think you folks saved my bacon today. I was totally all "fuck it, I'm selling everything I own and moving to the Outer Hebrides" before. Now I'm smiling and a little more content with the world. And I'm not even a big fan of little foofy dogs.

But these videos are great, and are giving me hearts-ease.

This is a nice side dish to the kittencams from earlier this week. I may be a cat person, but I have a soft spot for shih tzus.

And I so recently talked my husband out of adopting a small army of tiny dogs (he suggested ten) after a chance encounter with a teacup yorkie. Well. Crap.

Yep! I know, was just going for the description instead of the jargon, for the benefit of those not in the know.

When he was a kitten, one of my cats used to suck on my earlobes while I was sleeping. I think my wife facilitated that. It was really cute, though his teeth were wicked sharp. We named him Nibbler.

When she was a tiny puppy, our black lab was shiny like a black jellybean. So we named her Jellybean. She was great to sleep with then. She still is, but now she pushes me out of the bed at night.

Oh my God. The foot thing. Too too cute.

Husband: If i had that puppy, I would get nothing done. I would lie around on the floor all day long just like that guy.

Me: I think it says in the comments that the guy has already lost his home, savings and marriage to that dog. It is the crack of pets.

Our Lipsie does that very same paw thing and it is similarly 'dorbs.

In case you're wondering, no, I do not know why she has a D4 taped to her head in that picture.

We had a shih tzu that we got when I was about 13. It is utterly impossible not to get down on the floor like this to play with them. My elderly grandfather, who didn't like dogs, got down on the floor to play with our puppy. THERE IS NO RESISTING. FOOT THING!!

When I was young, my father used to raise litters of English Pointers, and I used to love to let them all out and lay on the ground and let them all assault me. I miss the puppy snuggles/attacks.
