The business of crying in Japan Interesting LAT article that discusses the controversy behind a Japanese lawmaker's comment on the use of tears by females.
it is interesting that shedding tears still works as a emotional/politcal tool, although not for everyone. i imagine that the crying of another triggers some kind of basic human reaction, a need to comfort.
