Here's the reason why a 10-round rifle magazine isn't big enough.

Wouldn't those thing ricochet right back at the shooter?

eagles are shedding goddamned tears of glory. Tears that wouldn't smudge the ink on an original copy of the constitution. Thanks to this video.

All right, dude, you've got all the notes in the right order.

Now all you need is some rhythm.

I'll say this, YouTube ads are getting very good at matching the video.

Wait... how do we know he isn't REALLY playing "To Anacreon in Heaven" with his gun?

Naw. Lead .22 rounds disintegrate pretty well against steel and, at that distance, I doubt any fragments would make it anywhere near him.
I have been looking for non-lead .22 rounds and some people claim that Winchester's non-lead rounds are tin and don't deform upon impact and ricochet. But I have no first-hand knowledge of that.

So, no there is probably no real danger to the shooter.

"There were one quadrillion nations in the Universe, but the nation Dwayne Hoover and Kilgore Trout belonged to was the only one with a national anthem which was gibberish sprinkled with bullets."

Also, that was painful to listen to.
He needs to coordinate with another shooter or two.
Like those bell choirs . . . each shooter takes a few specific notes and plays only those.

They did, but you can't tell as you can only see from the back and he couldn't fall down as the national anthem was playing.

Only thing that would make this more American would be that the plates were all engraved verses of the bible on one side and the constitution on the other.

Totally not a gun person myself but I found that impressive. Having to change clips to continue the song was kind of comical.

Having to change clips...

Having to change magazines... (a magazine is not the same thing as a clip)

(a magazine is not the same thing as a clip)

You're not aware of how common this type of plinking target is* regarding ricochet risk but you're one of the magazine/clip pedants? I am confuse.

Anyway, I didn't pay much attention to the video but unless I'm very much mistaken that's a fairly standard Ruger 10/22 or lookalike and, as Seamus said, perfectly safe for this sort of thing. Good for him for not busting beer bottles and for using a backstop for his plinking. The song is fun, but meh, I'd rather see a really long distance shot from the prone position or something. But I'm odd, I admit.

* Admittedly mostly for for .22 rimfire, pistol, or other shooters that use acceptable ammo, notably seen/heard in cowboy action shooting competitions.

I tried this with my AK 47. but for some reason it would only play the Red Flag.

There's a similar video where a guy plays "Oh Canada" by patting the chimes on the back.

Now we just need someone with a large array of these and a belt-fed gun to play Flight of the Bumblebee.
