I thought this was ridiculous......until I realized that Artaud might have loved it. So maybe it's great. (SLYT)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Love it! Probably the only type of choir i would actually go and listen to.
Have to say though, my two kids (both males) can scream decibels louder and higher than all of these "professionals".

So uhhh... I hate how I've now discovered that YouTube, in android lollipop, keeps playing in the background.

As a huge fan of Isabelle Adjani's unbelievable fantastic freak out in Possession (audio only, can't find a link to the video), this was pretty great. If they put out an album, I would buy it. That said, seeing video of them performing kind of dampened the illusion of true scream catharsis, in that they seemed to be having a grand ol' time. As they should be, probably. It's just that, visually, it lacked the sense that real pain was being exorcised.
(Not that I wish pain on anyone - but, for example, Yoko Ono's "John, John (Let's Hope for Peace)" on Live Peace in Toronto 1969 exudes a grueling sense of existential terror, as does the Isabelle Adjani performance. There's something supremely comforting - in the "I am not alone" sense - in the resonance of another's a truly honest, voluntarily given scream.)

Great stuff! I wonder what it sounded like from inside the church.

this should be the new Rickroll.
I sat all the way through, I was thoroughly entertained.

That Isabelle Adjani link is amazing, SmileyChewtrain. Agree that the visuals didn't match the rest of the performance.

You can hear the grand old time even without the visuals. These are the sounds of people yelling for fun, not a cathartic outburst.
