Background.

Concerning the Daniel Tosh Rape Joke Controversy

When asked his opinion on the July 2012 controversy surrounding comedian Daniel Tosh’s put-down of a female heckler with a reference to gang rape, Hines told Chicago Sun-Times blog writer Sarah Terez-Rosenblum, “For me, as a stand-up, I want you to leave my show happy. I want everybody to get laid after they get through seeing me. And I want all that sex to be consensual." [11][12]

That reminds me, did you listen to those CDs yet? Because seriously, just hint that you might have liked one and I'll increase your crushing burden by a dozen more stylistically similar ones. No pressure!

I just listened to Cecil Taylor's Unit Structures for the first time today, and this was a delightful chaser.

Very impressive. That guitarist put in a buttload of work to do that. ...Unless he's got some sort of nifty auto-tune/harmonize device doing most of the work for him in which case please don't tell me and burst my bubble of amazement.

And another: EL FUA.

That guitarist put in a buttload of work to do that

I don't think it would have taken him too many hours to do this video. Reharmonizing melodies is something that jazz guitar players practice a lot. The really huge amount of work would have been to get to the point where he could fairly easily find chords that worked with the video, and also made a reasonable progression.

I'm happy that the chords are posted, so I can play along.

HuronBob's helpful 'Background" link, just a couple comments before yours, should clear things up for you.

Me, I can personally attest Jones is also a stellar attorney and day care facility operator.

Fantastic! At first the thread title made me think it was the other way around, and Hines had learned to to recite all that to harmonize with Giant Steps.

Seems important to mention the album The Happiness Project, from Charles Spearin of Broken Social Scene semi-fame. Here's a representative track. Also, top-notch find, flapjax. My joy is much indebted to you.
