Flood Live in Australia. They Might Be Giants has released a live cover of their album, Flood. Songs are recorded in reverse order because, you know, Australia.
They played the songs in reverse order when they did this in San Francisco too, so it's nor just an Australian thing.

Their Sydney show in the mid 90s was awesome. Conga train!

It does let them build up to the hit single, which is kind of nice.

Nice! I saw them live once around 1999 and it was an incredibly fun show.

While you're at the TMBG site, you can also download "First Album Live," the live show of TMBG's eponymous (aka "Pink") album.
You've probably already subscribed to their youtube channel, which also just released this week's Dial-A-Song instant classic (Week 8), an electropop cover of Jonathan Richman's "I Was Dancing in a Lesbian Bar (Lauren Flax Remix)" with Flansburgh in the lead. Turn the subwoofer up for this one.

Excellent! I saw the Johns on the Flood tour and met them briefly on the Apollo 18 tour when I staked out a radio station where they were making an appearance. They signed my I Palindrome I single! Twenty five years...
