Presenting "Chopsy"

Ricky Syers is a Drummer. He builds and performs on his own drum kits. Ricky Syers is a Puppeteer. He builds and performs with his own marionettes. Two great things that go great together.
Great stuff, but with one quibble: the puppet playing the drums is not a marionette. Marionettes are controlled with strings, not with wires to the arms as with Kermit the Frog, which was essentially a hand puppet.

That drumming puppet is amazing. It looks like he even has springy loose little wrists to give some more life to his movements... I seriously just want to know everything there is to know about this damn thing.

That drummer puppet is pretty good. It's a shame Buddy Rich is no longer with us; he enjoyed a good drum battle with a puppet.

That clip is the only BR performance I've seen where he uses matched grip.

It's even more impressive that Chopsy does it with a trad grip.
