Sorry to be nitpicking a very interesting link, but Daniel Clowes last name rhymes with "cows", not "crows".

The only place I remember going with my parents was—I don’t know if it’s still there on 53rd Street—was called Valois. Of course everybody pronounced it “Val-oo-ees.” The big sign on the window said, “See your food.” It was like an old-fashioned cafeteria.
Fuck yeah Valois is still there (or well, I guess, it was several years ago). See your food.

I attended a talk with Daniel Clowes at Powell's in Portland last week, and it became abundantly clear to me that I am not familiar enough with his work. I've only really read Wilson, but loved it. He seemed like a nice guy, and the talk was satisfyingly awkward, as one would expect/hope, and he used every chance to bring up his most luminous title, Needledick the Bug-Fucker.
As a connoisseur of bad puns, I approve of the article's title.

I was super excited to read this, and then the opening paragraphs made me desperately miss Earwax, and then I spaced out while thinking about one of those vegan milkshakes that was somehow even better than an actual milkshake... and maybe I will have to read this after eating some lunch.
