Oh my god, he was also one of the guys combing the desert in Space Balls. That's amazing.

Reminds me of the Onion's outside scoop. Jackie Harvey, I think you have a kindred spirit in Mr. Russ. Very enjoyable.

Dark Vader, perfect.
Also, I did not realize until now that Tim Russ is the guy in the desert in Spaceballs.

What is May the 4th?
Here's a bit of outdoor | sculpture.
It's on the campus of Kent State University.
It has a bullet | hole in it.
It was put there by these | people.
Who were sent by these people.
To put bullet holes in | these | people.
For protesting this, which was bringing more of this.
War without stars: it wasn't all that long ago nor far away.

Well if Tuvok is having a go, I think it's only fair that the Doctor should have his say on this.

"The Star War"
There was a period in my life when I hadn't yet learned to appreciate the good in all things where I spent many afternoons diligently typing away in MS Word 6.0 attempting to craft a fanfic that would show the world once and for all how superior Star Trek was to Star Wars. Sadly, all sixty three chapters of that epic story are now lost to the digital mists save for the following exchange reproduced from memory:
Picard: "Data, what do you make of this?"
Data: "Captain, based on surviving historical descriptions and the widespread use of antiquated laser technology, I believe the spatial anomaly has transported us back in time to a primitive and barbaric period long before the founding of the Federation commonly known as 'The Star Wars'.
Wesley: "The larger enemy ship is demanding we surrender or be destroyed."
Picard: "Be destroyed? By lasers? Mr. Worf, raise shields"

Laser beams can't melt full shields. Death Star was an inside job.

For some reason it was the “X-Thing” that got me. And yeah, it's always been a minor pleasure that my second-favorite Vulcan (sorry, Sarek) was also the “we ain't found shit” guy.

May the Fourth is the "holiday" that finally got white nerds to stop ironically celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
