A Cattlerap song is created by adding a hiphop beat to a cattle auctioneering video.

The genre was invented in 2011 by musician David Kamp with this clip.
Cattlerap became "a thing" in May 2014 with clips featuring auctioneer extraordinaire Rhett Parks of Whitewood Livestock and others.

This is awesome! Auctioneering is really fascinating, and I want there to be more cattle raps. Herzog made a great documentary about livestock auctioneers in the 70s -- maybe somebody good at making beats can turn some of that into some Cattlerap gold.

Also the was John Michael Montgomery's Grundy County Aution. He got the rhythm right, but sadly not the tempo. I love auctioneer chants.

That was incredible and absolutely made my morning. Love how much of a UK jungle vibe a lot of it has.

This is fucking amazing. It tickles the part of my brain that processes verbal information in a fascinating way.

I love it but I seriously don't understand how people can understand and bid in these situations. It's too fast!
