Love it:

We have had the same conversations with our sons in Japan (in Japan our sons are perceived to be "biracial" or "half").

I like that they played the Louis CK clip and the comedians pushed back and said how disgusting the child molestation jokes were. I'm still listening, but these sorts of conversations always get weird because they end up feeling like putting up a few nonwhite people so that white people can laugh at inappropriate jokes. But maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. Because there really are some good conversations to have, but it's hard to do that sometimes after somebody inevitably crosses the line.

I totally want Key & Peele to do a sketch about a black Nancy Drew in court for B&E, but as a white dude I feel like I can't even sketch out the broad outlines of the joke without crossing some lines.

Thanks for this post. Appreciated Guy Branum's take on why he needed to call out the problematic homophobic jokes at The Comedy Central Roast of James Franco given the specific context of Franco's Roast having no LGBTQ comedians present on the dias-- Totally Biased: Guy Branum Roasts The Roast of James Franco.
