Yeah, did you intend it to load at 39 second into the video? The whole thing is the song and the first part is pretty great.

Mod note: Fixed the mid-song timestamp, presumably just an unintended Helpful URL Modification by youtube.

No amount of SATAN! can disguise the fact that those kids are be-boppin' down by the hop. Just look at their faces, watch their hips! oo oo oooo!

And yeah, this is super fantastic.

Oh man. I swear, this is my go-to shtick for getting laughs on karaoke night. Always sing death metal style. Although I highly prefer "Summer Nights."

Too intelligible to be true death metal.

Even before I type this, I've started cajoling my theater connections to make this happen in its entirety.

God, I hate Grease.

That's precisely what Stockard Channing sounded like warming up for There are worse things I could do.

20-ish years ago, when I'd first joined the Coast Guard, I got tons of shit from guys for having done theater stuff in high school & college. (Also for everything else they could think of...) Most of them associated theater and musicals and such with TEH GAYZ.

Yet if we were in port (or once I was at a shore station) and Grease was on television, all work would stop. I would be the only guy thinking "WTF?" while they all watched in silence.

Nonsense. If this had only 10% more HAIL SATAN! the world would collapse into Mad Max and flames and mohawks and burning zombies piling themselves against the iron gates of the last human city as a dark form rises from the earth.

Andy Rehfeldt is amazing! MeFi's Own not_on_display introduced me to him via one of his works going in the other direction: the Radio Disney version of Hammer Smashed Face.

I think it's hard to beat the The Cramps for reminding us that, yes, sometimes it was all about the sex.

Ahh Andy Rehfeldt... Such a talented guy.

Pop stars singing over some nice metal guitar
Katy Perry-California Gurls(Metal Version)
Lady Gaga-Paparazzi (Metal Version)
... Totally replacing the pop with Death metal
Jonas Brothers - Paranoid (Death Metal Version)
or sometimes the best is like ignignokt mentioned are the Radio Disney versions
Dying Fetus-Grotesque Impalement(Radio Disney Version)

But for sure his best work is one of the classics

Okay, also:

Marilyn Manson — The Beautiful People (Polka Version)
AC/DC — Back in Black (Funk Version)
Dio — Holy Diver (Jazzy Version)
Judas Priest — You've Got Another Thing Comin' (Bossa Nova Version)

"Ahh Andy Rehfeldt... Such a talented guy."

No kidding. The AC/DC cover is going into my music collection right now.

I don't know what country Andy Rehfeldt is from, but wherever it is, he's a national treasure.

My favorites:
Rage Against The Machine-Killing In The Name (Less Angry Version)
Lamb of God-Set to Fail (Smooth Jazz Version)
Metallica-Enter Sandman (Smooth Jazz Version)

This is awesome and I just came here to pile on another link to the similar Necrocomiccon, a black metal band that exclusively covers '80s hits.
