My sister Tish, real name Patricia, taught our young nephews to pronounce her name. The closest the babies could come was Badeeda. Listen to the Italian: Ba-dee-da, Ba-dee-da, ba- DEEEEE-da, and you will know why Tish dreaded that symphony that every one else thought called her baby talk name.
