So I went and found the Pan's People clip itself because I was curious what that other footage was. It strikes me as something that would fit well in the Uniqlock, particularly around 1:17.

I love and miss all variety shows from the 70's regardless of country of origin. The insanity, the costumes, the music! Good times!

Love the idea that the BBC filmed so much stuff in the same quarry in the 70s, that the programmes started to merge.

DoctorRelated: last night's Hugos award featured a Dalek presenting the awards for Best Dramatic Presentations (and threatening to EX-TER-MIN-ATE MeFi's Own jscalzi). And the nominated Doctor Who episode lost.

Some would say that blue box we can see far off in the distance is a port-a-potty... but I'd prefer to think the Doctor has just dropped by to reminisce.

That is a thing, why yes it is.

I was halfway expecting the people who showed up in the edges of the quarry to be other Doctors and companions. You could get really recursive.

Sort-of-related: This post got me on a bit of a google hunt, and it turns out that Dannii Minogue recorded a techno/synthpop/EDM cover back in 1998. It’s about as good as you’d expect…
