David C Roy designed and handcrafted over 150 different one-of-a-kind kinetic sculptures. Common elements in his work include motion and wood. They are powered by constant force springs.

These are awesome, I have a new passion--I MUST learn how to make these. Check out his blog too, it doesn't look like it's updated too often but he shares work by other kinetic sculpture artists. Also his Pinterest board.

I love the ambient noises in the square gears link. Roosters, early-morning birds, and the ceaseless clicking of unseen wooden gears. His shop would be an ASMR Disneyland.
