RIP Peter Dean Rickards

Peter Dean Rickards, the self-taught photographer, writer, and filmmaker whose work helped to both define and complicate the aesthetic of modern dancehall and challenged easy assumptions about Jamaican culture and art, passed away at the end of 2014. (All links may be NSFW.)
His website peterdeanrickards.com has two galleries of photos and another of photo essays, as well as videos.
Much more of his work can be seen at The Afflicted Yard and First Magazine, both of which he developed over many years.
Previously: He was the subject of a 2006 FPP, and he was credited in one comment for his role in the exposure of Banksy's identity.

Sad to hear this, he was an amazing photographer and completely off his nut to boot.
Of his many, various internet brawls, this one sticks in my head, a sprawling, increasingly nasty debacle with a British magazine editor called Graham Brown-Martin, which is hilariously summarised here.
