There has actually been an NYC meetup at Marie's Crisis, which lead to a fantastic moment - I can't remember whether it was Jonmc or Eideteker involved. But whoever it was, they'd come to Marie's, even though they professed to not knowing much about musical theater. But then one of the songs the pianist played was The Internet Is For Porn, and the look of sheer delight on their face ("there's a Broadway song about porn?") was wonderful, and by the end they were joining in with the singing.

A friend of mine from college is an uber regular there. I'll have to see if she's in the video when I have time to watch.

(Meaning "Traditional, Modern or Dirty". Before Manhattans and Old Fashioned and Side Cars got revived it was one of the few places that could be counted to mix a perfect one every time. )

My one visit to Marie's Crisis was quieter, but more on tune than that video (err, to be clear, I wasn't singing or it wouldn't have been worse) but it mostly included songs I had never heard of, which made it a lot less fun.
