Chances are your favorite telenovela was written by Julio Jiménez. For sure his Wikipedia page was.
In particular, Jiménez's seminal 1994 series Las aguas mensas has been remade as Pasión de gavilanes, Fuego en la sangre, Gavilanes, Tierra de reyes, and Pasión de Amor. If that particular story's not to your taste, there's El cuerpo ajeno and its remake El cuerpo del deseo.

El cuerpo del deseo cracks me the hell up, you don't even know. Every time there is a scene where the lead male is pointlessly shirtless or wet, I laugh. To be honest, I kinda liked it as a typical "young hot poor dude who works for the rich family falls in love with the lady of the house" story, and stopped watching once the supernatural element became more prevalent.

My wife and mother-in-law beg to differ on the pointless part.

Thank you, item. The reason I made this post was that completely earnest, completely batshit Wikipedia page. SQGibbon, you are a total killjoy, but I guess a Master Editor kind of has to be.
