Is it possible for something to be simultaneously nightmare inducing and totally adorable?
Who's a good boy? Who wants a scratch? A scratch under your scaly snout? Right there? Is that the right spot? Good boy!

Pure awesome. I would like several. And I want the original maps she use as reference.

One of his sculptures is not like the others… at least I can’t recall having seen that particular fearsome creature drawn on an antique map.

The winged lizard is surely based on a Water Dragon. There are hundreds of them around here. For scale, this one was about two feet. Tail is dipped in the water, but it's about half it's length.

Another visual source if you're into this sort of thing is Maydenbach's Ortus Sanitatus, which gives us many creatures great, small, and unlikely.
