Yeah, the only things within a 100 mile radius of me are drive-ins, and I already know where all those are.

My state is not even there. Now I know what it's like to be Canadian.

Not two hours from right here is a motel that, at least as of ten years ago, advertised their rooms had touch tone telephones and color TV in every room.
How do we not rate?

Mod Betty, you have some tablet and mobile UI issues to work out. I am understanding, and expect that the site works well on a win3.x device or startac phone. I look forward to checking it out.

No shortage in South Florida of course. We treasure our old stuff on every level. Hell, if it's made it through 50 years of hurricanes, it deserves to be a treasure.

Yeah, I think the google map started with a data dump of all the operating drive-in theaters in the US, plus whatever else the site's owner had heard of.
To go by the map, you'd think the town I grew up in had nothing more than a drive in movie theater some 20 miles away, when it's got a bunch of family-owned restaurants and dinors, seemingly untouched by time since the 1970s or 1950s, if it wasn't for the prices on the signboards.

Mod Betty, you have some "please have content on your website" issues to work out too.

Somewhere in LA last year we passed a motel whose sign advertised "color TV and air conditioning."

This is a classic example of a horrible UI. You cannot navigate varied locations and categories via Google Maps. I lost a job arguing the very same point, but people will continue to use zoom as a valid navigation solution.

Similar to RoadsideAmerica...a much more usable site with far more content.

Little do they know that the drive-in movie in Amenia NY has only existed for about three years.
