Meet the "the Dominican Snow White" and the deer family he befriended. "In the span of a week, Kelvin Peña has made deer bffs, become an internet sensation, and flexed his entrepreneurial skills. It all started when the 17-year-old visited his cousin, who fed a deer named Canela."
Laughing until I have tears running down my face is an excellent way to start my morning. This kid is great.

Hilarious. I love how he's named them all and that hanging out with them is clearly the best part of his day.

Probably because he's Dominican American?

I keep watching this and all I can do is make high pitched squealing noises because it is so cute and I know he's snot supposed to feed them but the fact that he is so sweet with them and respectful if they're hesitant to come near him is just really endearing
lol endeering
I'm gonna see myself out

I'm gonna guess there's a part of teh internets where you can find such things... but I'm really glad I don't know where it is.

I was on a hike in the Presidentials of New Hampshire with my dad a little while ago, and there's this spot in between Mt. Pierce and Mitzpah Hut on the Webster Cliff Trail—which is part of the Appalachian Trail—where the head-high fir balsams clear out around an open outcropping of rock, and if you stop there for a break all kinds of wildlife will start showing up.
It turns out that thru-hikers in particular are really habituated to handouts of free food, and since dad and I had brought too much and were near the end of the hike and tired of carrying it all, we managed to unload a couple bags of trail mix, a package of spicy cracker nuts, and several chocolate bars. They didn't want our coffee, though.
Also, I got a cool video clip of a Gray Jay flying down to dad's hand and taking a cashew from his open palm. No regrets, that bird clearly knew the drill already.
