The game fucking cheats. Every time I beat the high score it turns out that someone just set a new high score seven points higher. When will the internet ever be fair?

It told me I got 101 the first time, and the "global high score" was only eight points higher than that. I didn't do anything or even realize I was supposed to do anything. I think I'm gonna retire undefeated.

I think "global high score" is the highest score for all people whose game ended while yours was in progress.
Statistically, the longer your game, the higher the likely global high score would be. You effectively move to a larger league by having a game that lasts longer - more scores to compare to your own.

I'm pretty sure the "global high score" is your latest score plus a random number.
