A Tribe Called Quest co-founder Jarobi White has a second career as a professional chef. In this Billboard interview, he chats with longtime friend, chef, and hip hop fan, Marcus Samuelsson. Jarobi also provides his recipe for honey yuzu chicken wings.
Really enjoyed this, but man I would have loved for it to be three or four times the length.
And yes, now I want wings.

honey yuzu chicken wings
Yuzu is awesome. We have been to Kochi Prefecture, in Shikoku, a few times in the past few years, and we always bring back bottles of yuzu juice. I use it as salad dressing, and as a replacement for soy sauce (I have high blood pressure) when eating sashimi or grilled fish.

My mother-in-law makes something called yuzu-gama which are yuzu skins packed with yuzu miso -- essentially dark red miso mixed with yuzu juice and sesame seeds -- that are then left in a net to dry in the sun and wind for months. Sliced thin and served with rice, yuzu-gama stick to your back teeth and amaze your tastebuds for hours.

Flagged as fantastic. I too could have read another few pages. I was totally charmed by the hooky parties.
The photos were so gorgeous I had to look up who was responsible.

Such a fun interview, you can really feel their personalities and passion. Great music and food! And wow, the photos are amazing. I also vibe with this - I'd rather cook for friends and chill out like that with music as well.

I was saving this link/post for when I needed a pick-me-up, and it didn't disappoint. Thank you! I am making grabby hands at both the honey-yuzu chicken wings and the interview itself; good stuff all around.
