The May 2002 issue of PC Gamer has announced a l33t b0x3n contest, and in that issue show off three really cool rigs. There's one guy who's shoved his computer's guts into a box shaped like a big X. X-box? Uh huh. The PC Gamer site didn't have pics (dammit) but I was amazed and can't wait to see the winners of their contest.

I would love a PC case designed in the style of the late Ed "Big Daddy" Roth

I'm more impressed by the case and lighting that this 13 year old boy did on his first PC.

Out of the mouths of babe's oft come gems, anil. I spend most of my workday listening to grown men explain the same concepts far less clearly. That kid should be editing PC magazine.

Here's a case modding introduction, and a few cool examples of case modding, even a little art.

I'm still admiring the all-in-one gaming system of Yoshi's Boxx... we're talking a PC complete with Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System, Microsoft Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2. Damn.

It's high time people started using boxes like these. Computers need style just like everything else. I don't know how we ended up with the beige boxes that are so ubiquitous these days. Were people afraid of computers and needed something that was as anonymous as possible? Trying to please everyone by not pleasing anyone? Doesn't PC stand for "personal computer"?

Very cool; and by cool I mean totally sweet. It blows the plexiglass side panels off those boring mod kit jobs.
