Having been to more than my fair share of metal gigs, I can only admire the absolute fortitude of doing a metal set during Ramadan. I've seen grown men faint off the stage despite slamming litres and litres of water, I can only imagine how brutal it must be to lay out an epic set under a hijab. These girls are hardcore.

Though quick sources don't abound, it seems their being Sundanese might play into their ethos. Either way: awesomest!

This. Is. Awesome.

I'm especially impressed by the drummer, Eusi Siti Aisyah, who isn't just keeping solid tempo (often enough no easy task for young players), but has clearly already mastered a bunch of subtleties of drumming that gives her playing a feel and authority well beyond her years.
