"No copyright intended", I guess. I sure hope Lucasfilms doesn't take this one down. It's a beauty.

I don’t even need a root canal, but suddenly, I just want one. Advertising works!

Wow, I'm amazed Disney let Tim and Eric use Star Wars footage!

I am not sure that charm is a valid defense for willful copyright infringement for commercial gain, but maybe it should be.

Flashy, but no real science to back up the technology (yet at least). It doesn't change the way root canals are done, it just changes the way the canals are disinfected before they are filled. I couldn't find a peer reviewed study that shows any remarkable difference between this new flashy way and conventional ways, it just looks (so far) like a new way to use a tool (lasers) that have long been promised to revolutionize dentistry but have thus far not fulfilled that promise.
I have a laser in my practice, and do root canals, but I would have to see something actually scientific before i modified either to fit peg in hole.
TL:DR -- cute but kinda woo.

It definitely should not be. Tying medical/dental procedures to pop culture as an attempt to win patients is a terrible combination. Medicine being advertised by emotional pitches to nostalgia is not how people should decide the kind of treatment or medicine they receive and any artist who saw their work being used in such a manner should demand its take down lest they be seen as supporting it.
The specific PIPS treatment of root canals may not pose any hazard or problems or it may add some in terms of cost or effective care, I'm not expert enough to judge such a matter but neither, I'm sure, are those who hold the copyright for Star Wars. This is a bad concept from an ethical standpoint and, from my own perspective, yet another piece of shoddy Star Wars kitsch of a sort I've had more than enough of even were it not advertising anything.

They conveniently left out the part where the patient's head explodes.

I suspected something like this: he has a son with a degree in video production. The real genius of this, though, was to preserve the drony dorkiness of his dad's pitch.

Given what he has apparently spent on production as well as dental equipment costs, I don't think I could possibly afford his services.
