Big lizard in my noodles

On Wednesday, Twin Cities' renowned Asian grocery store United Noodles found a surprise guest lurking in their produce. The chill critter has since found a permanent home with the Minnesota Herpetological Society. In honor of this happy ending, please enjoy these videos of lizards eating noodles.
1. Gecko eating spaghetti
2. Pancake the bearded dragon eating zoodles
3. Alex the green iguana eating spaghetti, getting scritches

The real question is, where are all the much smaller creepy-crawlies that traveled with the lizard unnoticed?

You know, part of a salad-eating lifestyle is eating a bug every now and then. You just have to accept it if you want quality leaves.

When I worked in an entomology lab as an undergrad we "adopted" a black widow spider that hitchhiked into a grocery store on a bunch of grapes. I think spiders and scorpions are relatively common stowaways.

Probably from California, and probably not something that could survive the Minnesota winter in the wild.

This is just to say
I am the lizard in your refrigerator
You know how this goes with the plums, by now.
Lizard brain & all,
I was just like “eat.”
Not sorry.

Ah, the video of Alex the green iguana eating spaghetti and getting scritches is impossibly adorable. At the end, when he's enjoying the aforementioned scritches, he looks like a very happy and content Sleestak.

One time I found a iguana running around in traffic in saint joseph michigan. I caught him and gave him to some people who claimed to have a tank and setup for one.
Then I washed my hands really well because I did not want to get lizard borne illnesses.

Seriously, United Noodles is worth the visit if you're in the Twin Cities and aren't already on a monthly United Noodles shopping schedule. If you're smart you'll plan it so you also hit up the nearby Coastal Seafoods so you can do a DIY sushi night.
I always end up spending a little more than I planned because of the little corner full of Asian skincare and beauty products. Tiny face razors, Japanese mascara and camellia oil, sheet masks, etc.

1.)Hey. That's my store. They sell delicious stuff. I love them.
2.)That looks like a Texas fence lizard I kept for a brief period of time and released. They are fast and cranky.
I love this.

One time someone found an iguana by the side of the road in Racine Wisconsin and so of course they called my Dad, because apparently that is what one does when one finds an exotic animal by the side of the road in Wisconson, call Guy.
His name was Saul, and he liked to bob his head up and down to music. He was a pretty great dude.
