I'm still trying to figure out what they're painting with. fluorescent paint?

It's just a flashlight, I believe. Set up a ring of cameras, and have long exposures...

It reminds me of the photo of Picasso that showed Picasso drawing with a light stick (at least I believe it was a light stick). Lovely.

They seem to be using a modified version of Tim Macmillan's technique, called Timeslice - I am sure most of you have seen it in commercials, and the Matrix of course. In some of Macmillan's films you can see time slow and speed up, in realtime, as the camera moves slowly through space, impressive stuff.
The idea itself was not patented by Macmillan, and it was subsequently under a hollywood patent I believe.
