Ten tons of missing cyanide since Wednesday, 113 miles north of Mexico City... no big deal, right?

Probably, right. Truck thefts for the trucks and not the cargo are common. The story almost reads like an urban legend, though - "but what the banditos didn't realize was that the cargo was - plutonium! They were dead before they even reached Tijuana."

Um...this can't be good no matter what the motivations of the robbers. Let's just hope the contaiment transport tank is unsellable and mostly unbreakable.

And in the words of the immortal Betty Rubble..."EEEK!"

Stuff like this happens all the time. No big deal.

"There's always an Alien Battle Cruiser...or a Korlian Death Ray, or...an intergalactic plague about to wipe out life on this planet, and the only thing that lets people get on with their hopeful little lives is that they do not know about it."

Humans can lick cyanide, too.

Sorry; had to add that in the spirit of yhbc's Urban Legend post.

Actually, since I'm in South Texas, and literally within 1 mile of IH-35 (which is the main route into US from Mexico), it's just slightly unnerving. Nothing to lose sleep over, but I'll avoid large trucks on the highway (even more than usual, that is).

mr_crash_davis - good reference. Although, does anyone not believe in the MIBs these days?
