These are juuuuuust on the right side of /r/fellowkids.

I still don't believe that anybody over the age of 2 is eating Tide Pods, though. But somebody should share the ATV posts with my in-laws' neighbors.

Smart marketing method. Makes it much more likely for the images to be shared.

As a Safety manager, I LOVE THIS SHIT. It gets people to actually pay attention! It's weird, funny, and still conveys the message. Even if they only pay attention for like 30 seconds, it is a much greater impact than normal "Space Heater Safety" infographics, or a picture showing proper 4:1 ladder ratio (4 feet of rise: base of ladder 1 foot away from the wall), or whatever.

I mean, compare this to this. (Obviously the latter has way more information, but still)

I am so stealing some of these for our weekly 5-min safety talks (proving PhoBWanKenobi's point). Thank you for the post!

I guess absurdist Twitter style is something they teach in marketing classes now huh

Crispin Porter really should have thought before they unleashed subservient chicken on the world and apparently made that all marketing forever.

Well, good luck outrunning a T-Rex without one.

I could almost be tempted to follow Twitter!

These are fantastic. If I could somehow get Sentient Popcorn Bag to follow me around all day making that happy face and flailing its arms Kermit-style, my life would be 100x happier.

I looked this up for a conversation about Tide Pods the other day! The American Association of Poison Control Centers says it is happening. In 2016 and 2017, the average number of cases of teen "intentional exposures to single-load laundry packets" handled by poison control centers in a year was 46. In the first six weeks of 2018, the number of cases is 168. The link has a daily list of cases. There were three yesterday. (Out of a total of I think ~550 poisonings by cleaning supplies each day.)

(update to my Tide Pod digression: PLEASE NOTE: The term "exposure" means someone has had contact with the substance in some way; for example, ingested, inhaled, absorbed by the skin or eyes, etc. Not all exposures are poisonings or overdoses.)

Maybe this is one of those departments that Trump has defunded and de-staffed to the point where it has no director and nobody to say 'no' to the one full-time employee who is left. (And in this one case, that happens to be a good thing.)
