One Minute Art History

"Filmmaker and educator Cao Shu captures the history of art in an experimental short film that lasts for less than one minute. Throughout the film, the central character goes through the small motions of everyday movements like checking the time and having a drink, with each frame rendered in a different art historical style."
I have yet to pin down your Wiggum, but it's along the works of artists like Alec Monopoly or Antoine Tavagli, but more from the design world of publishing than street art. That's my intuition from the flourishes of it. I will swear to seeing the artist from years of BoingBoing and Fffffound.

What I'm most enjoying is CaoShu's commentary and narrative through the subject's transformations, as thelonious's emphasizes. The Impressionists were some heavy smokers :)

The styles went by so fast that I couldn't really appreciate them. I'd like to be able to browse through stills of every frame and absorb each one before moving to the next.

Very creative and cool. Is there a place where I can see each picture along with an explanation of the style or artist that it represents?

I love this, what a great idea but also the execution was superb. You can pause a frame and most of them are excellent interpretations of the work they're mimicking. It's a big misnomer that painting in another artist's style is easy, so to do so many and do them well is just... awesome.

I was wondering where's Francis Bacon? And then, there he was! Brilliant.

That was pretty damn impressive. Be fun to watch it backwards, too.
