We Sent Garlic Bread to the Edge of Space, Then Ate It [SLYT] [5:23] [subtitles]
Eating garlic bread exposed to cosmic rays surely gives one some sort of superpowers. Is there a sequel video online where we can see what happened next?

Bread gives you a rich, protective layer of extra padding around your internal organs.

So now I'm having garlic bread with the chili con carne I'm making because of the ask. Metafilter is planning the menu here.

People deciding that bread is more or less poison is one of the oddest things I have seen in my lifetime.

I'm envisioning a cross between Anpanman and Blade: A badass vampire hunter with a head made out of super-strong garlic bread.

As a celiac who did not have the luxury of that decision, people who willingly deny themselves the joys of bread are aliens to me.
Good god do I miss a nice fresh baguette.

Recently diagnosed myself, Z. January of this year.
I've rolled with a lot of punches over my years, but nothing has gotten me down like being forced into a GF diet overnight, for the rest of my life, with painful and dangerous consequences for transgressions intentional or not. Celiac disease is a fucking curse, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Not even our president.

For some reason, I found that glimpse of the sun against the stark black background of space (rather than the familiar soft blues of our atmosphere) sort of chilling in a way that was not quite ameliorated by the visual presence of garlic bread.
