This French Bulldog Is A Foster Dad To ASPCA Kittens

Interspecies friendships might be the only thing keeping me sane these days, so I am required by law to share these insanely cute photographs and video of a two-year-old French bulldog named Nono who helps foster kittens from the ASPCA's Kitten Nursery. No one will judge you if you immediately watch this video again.

Nono is a very good boy indeed. And I'm excited for the interspeciessnorgling tag. Thank you for sharing.

Is it a problem that my brain started playing the audio tag from Animal Planet's "Too Cute" when I read this? (doo do doo do doo doo doo do doo ... doo!)

We had a couple of bottle kittens that we saved from becoming kitty asada on a toasty day in the desert. They were a week old. They’re seven now and one lives with us and one with a family member. They were pretty much raised by our English bulldogs. We had two bullies at the time and one of them took on each kitten. The kitty that lives with us is frequently stopping by to make sure the doggos are not in need of any washing services.

i also just realized i left out the highly important moment when the sound of their own loud squeaky fart awakens them from a deep snorthonking sleep and they yip with outrage and squint at you accusingly

And you forgot - the side eye. Bulldogs are the masters of the sassy side eye look.

I concur that Frenchies are both adorable and kitty-lovers. This is based on my highly scientific anecdotal observation of a Frenchy in a TGV who snorfed over to me and immediately began licking the cat fur off my jeans. I scritched his ears, was treated to a bonk-snorf-lick and rear-end wiggle, after which the happy cat-fur licking conitnued.
Human of cat-fur-snorfer: "Omigosh I'm so sorry!!!"
Me: "Oh goodness no worries, look how happy he is!"
Human of cat-fur-snorfer: "I have no idea why he's licking your jeans!!!"
Me: "I have two cats!"
Human of cat-fur-snorfer: O.o;
Cat-fur-snorfer: "sflurp-sflurp-sflurp wheeheeze sflurp-sflurp"

I think this must be a method of class bulldog. A friend's english bully (aka Biz Barkie) fell asleep across my toes, farted impossibly loudly, then spent the next five minutes barking furiously at his arse.

The vid should've come with a ukulele warning, though.

Based on the experiences of some old family friends with a dog named Nono, you don't. They used to say that he got his name because he viewed himself as a political prisoner whose duty it was to attempt escape at all possible opportunities.

I don't really have anywhere else to put this, but reverse-topical:

Our pit bull mix is scared of storms. Seventy-five pounds of deep, violent waves of shaking at the first thunder. Last night was one hell of a storm; even with the thundershirt and lots of white noise, she was crammed under my desk for over an hour after the storms stopped.

We finally coaxed her out, and on to the couch, where we wrapped her with another blanket and pointed the fan at her both for the noise and so she wouldn't overheat.

Jack, the tuxedo cat, walked up and "Mur-mow?" what was up. The wife told him that Lady was scared and she needed petting.

With little hesitation, Jack walked up to, and on top of Lady-in-her-blanket, and started kneading, making biscuits. After a minute, he hopped off.

Lady had stopped shaking.

(animals are just so amazing sometimes.)

Maybe the misbehaving dog eventually just assumed his name was Nono, much like a young Bill Cosby thought he was called Jesus Christ.

My Frenchie Fester was the same: he loved kittens, especially cleaning them up after they had been bottle fed.
