China builds a giant panda-shaped solar farm

Here’s a bit of good news for today.
I'm with argedee, I'm skeptical such a thing has actually been built.

They actually built it, it just doesn't look quite as panda-like as the renderings. The UNDP statement's satellite shot is a bit better.

Thanks sysinfo, I was wondering what they would need to do to get two different colours of panels and what the implications would be for cost/efficiency. The answer is they didn't...
Anyway, there is also a Mickey Mouse PV farm in Florida.

There's a solar farm near me in San Luis Obispo County, CA. It's not close to the coast, but I wonder if it could be adapted to a whale shape, or otter...

Solar farms don't have to be panda-shaped to make me happy, so it's neither here nor there as far as I care, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, as they say.
