Hey now, you're in VR

Beat Saber, the VR game that has players slashing colored blocks in time to music, has reinvigorated both the VR gaming scene and the music/rhythm genre, quickly spawning 3rd-party modifications that allow players to create their own custom notetracks. While the large majority are based on existing songs, some enterprising modders are applying the game's choreographed swordplay to more unusual types of audio.
Inspired by the trend of musicians playing along to dialog, it was inevitable that music games embrace this avant-garde style of performance as well.
Beat Saber in particular lends itself well to re-enacting famous swordfights from films. Or, someone could, for example, track an entire film.
Like the classic 2001 film Shrek.
The whole thing.
Seriously.

Also I'd like to try the final fencing scene in Princess Bride... With the six fingered man and the crazy comeback to defeat him!

This game and Superhot VR, are the main reasons I wish I had a rig at Ong enough to support VR gaming. They look so fun.

Thanks for this post!
Beat Sabre is a fantastic game and I've been loving playing it, but I hadn't thought to look into the mod scene. Some of the user-generated mods are better than the ones that come with the game. I can particularly recommend 'Beat it', 'FTTATF', and 'Seven Nation Army' - tonnes of fun.
To install the mods, you'll want to download the installer from here
And if you are completing the courses but your score seems a tad low, the scoring mechanics are explained here (47 second video)
