Alan Abel, notorious hoaxer and director of Is There Sex After Death? is dead ...again, this time at 94. Previously, previouslier
I honestly thought he died a few years ago. I guess when the movie came out.

CBC Radio One's As It Happens played (full episode .mp3) a portion of a 1975 interview with him about the Professional School for Panhandlers, and also aired a touching retrospective interview with his daughter Jenny Abel.

But the paper of record making a mistake, that was more of a big deal. The New York Times doesn't like to be fooled. That's why we were so surprised they wrote such a nice obituary with my dad passing in actuality last week.
