I tried to read this as soon as it was posted. I didn't make it more than 15 modules in, I don't think. I definitely cried silently at my desk.
Nobody here asked me any questions. All those buses and subways and corner conversations. I went to the gym. I just tried to pick up where I left off.

This is incredibly powerful and though my heart was already completely broken about the state of the world, it's somehow a little more so right now.
I'm mostly speechless, but needed to comment so this thread didn't look dead. I read it. I heard her. I'll find the strength to fight. Somehow.

I found myself pausing to suck in my breath and stare off into space at several points while reading this. My throats hurts now and I have tears in my eyes. Wow. Yes.
I'm glad I read it, and I think I need to go weep on my cat for a while.

It's such a strange feeling, thinking back to conversations I had as a teenage girl with adult men which seemed hilarious and fun at the time but wildly inappropriate from them in retrospect.
