Taipei's mayor, Ko Wen-je, released a rap video [YouTube] less than a week ago and it's already gotten over 1.2 million views.

Mayor Ko, incidentally, appears to be Taiwan's local insurgent populist.

Besides the incumbent, Tsai Ing-wen, every Taiwanese president since democratization has first served as the mayor of Taipei.
