Perhaps the cat was simply a supporter of the house of Orange-Nassau, rather than a partisan of the Stuarts.

I saw this story somewhere online that did not include a picture of the painting or of the cat, in this day and age! thank you helping me to find closure.

Why would anyone name a cat after a character from the Star Wars prequels? Of course she'll harbour resentments, it's only natural.
