Somebody is watching Star Trek TNG using their phone camera. With a cute filter enabled.

Rather than upgrading all of DS9 into HD, CBS should just do this, put it on their streaming service, and take my money. Although I wonder if the cute filter would ever work on Odo. He's not that good with humanoid faces.

This is either the greatest thing I've ever seen or a harbinger of the downfall of our civilization; I can't decide which.

It would show unaltered images of Odo because Odo is already maximally cute.

I had my doubts before I clicked over, but they were erased by the picture of our Lord and savior, may his calibrations endure forever.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine an instagram cute filter applied to a human face — forever.

Have started watching ST:TNG for the first time within the last week. This is amazing. (I mean, I've seen bits before and am generally familiar with the characters but probably never watched an episode through.)

Might have to try this myself. Is there a way to do this without having an Instagram account or installing that app? Hmm.

It still blows my mind that a phone is capable of the kind of compute power required to do this stuff in real time.

Your snapchatters were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

Now someone do it with the Vidiians

Hey, if you're doing Voyager, let's see Kes. I've always wondered what cuteness squared would look like.

Also, in messin' with the Trek: Star Trek vs. Faceapp tumblr. Results range from "can't tell that this wasn't the original screencap" to "enjoy your nightmare fuel."
