June 22-23, Bowling Green, OH, is for Zinesters, Activists, Comic Artists, Hackers, Low Power FM Broadcasters, Librarians, Web Designers, Filmmakers, Musicians, Artists, Academics, Street Theorists, Readers and Writers. Isn't the tractor pull championship still there? I lived in BG for two long years and it's amazing to me that they got this going there. I wish I'd known, too.

I wanted to go, but unnecessary travel across half the country is a bit out of my budget this year. Those of you that are going will have to let us know how it turned out. :)

One of the organizers, Charles Willet, is an old-time alternative press advocate. He has one of the very few libraries in the country, the Civic Media Center in Gainsville, FL, that collects alternative literature and makes it available through a regular public library catalog. Charles is getting on, and it's a delight to see that he has ten young interns working with him right now.
I was very surprised nobody had posted this yet. Evidently the bloggers and the zinesters are still in the process of getting hooked up with each other.

I had no idea they did stuff in Bowling Green other than the fair, and BGSU football and hockey.
