I don't even know which genre it is...
I'd call it breakbeat (aka "breaks"), with a dash of electro (the syncopated TR-808 beat that opens the track). Plus melodic elements from traditional Japanese music, obviously.

Very nice. Solid groove but so clever, and the incorporation of natural sounds was lovely.
It conjured up an image of some talented millenials who just discovered Kraftwerk's Autobahn, nodded approvingly, then said "here, hold my beer..."
Gonna seek out more of this. Thanks.
