Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program - About
Owls feed at night and rest during the day, and they are really good at hiding and being still because, if they are found by other birds, they will be harassed relentlessly. Birds will mob any predators they find in their area. It makes it very challenging to spot them even though you will hear many of them in breeding season. I always feel lucky when I get to see an owl.
