I enjoy Mother's Day almost as much as I enjoy Christmas.

The US and Sweden observe Mother's Day on two different dates. Doesn't really matter, as I fiercely rejected any attempts to celebrate Mother's Day while raising my kid. I had suffered enough guilt as a daughter who felt inadequate often and especially on Mother's Day. No way was I passing that on the my kid. So it was great to have a couple of US friends wish me a happy Mother's Day today and to be able to say thanks while having zero feelings about the holiday. So nice. Thanks for posting, OP!
