Cool video with no CGI or green screen. Video side-by side with making of

Very cool. All of this tracks except for the notepads 37 seconds in. How did they get one side red and the other side blue?
Interesting. If you look at the monitor of the mirror effect on the behind the scenes video they are both blue (:53 in). Seems odd that they would bother using some kind of digital effects for that one thing considering the whole rest of the video.

Exactly. Which makes me think it's some kind of practical effect I'm not picking up on. Once you realize that you're looking at a mirror image for the entire video, that one thing calls attention to itself (mainly because two different colors does nothing to add to the video narrative).

The notepads were the reason why I clicked into this thread. I assume it's colour grading in post, but does that count as CGI or not? I guess it's not generated but it also kind of is?

If you freeze the "making of" video at that point, you can see what looks like a preview of the "complete" (mirrored) version of the image, on the laptop at about belt level of the dude in the stripy shirt. It shows the right-side hand holding a blue notebook. That makes it feel like a post effect.

Beautiful. And the message a stark reminder.

How is the mirror effect itself not CGI? Isn't it imagery, generated by a computer?

I think they are skirting the fine line between computer Generated and computer Manipulated. I wonder when the last movie was produced with absolutely no post production?
