monkeyJuice:
they're all quadrapedal, non-nocturnal, non-aquatic, non-marsupial, non-airborne, non-arboreal mammals.
the dog and the sheep are both domesticated while the beaver connotes a domesticity of sorts with the associations entailed by their vaunted industriousness.
all three are prized for the quality of their coats, though in the dog's case that's slightly different (ie the care put into a dog's coat if it's owner drags it to a dog show).
for that matter, they all have fur. also none of the three have horns nor is their bite toxic.

Except I'm not big on halloween stuff, gothic is cool, basically the characteristics fit, except what would describe me more several years back.
Yet the sex and social part of an otter and his ability are me.
And I love the night life too, so can I be a Batter.
