Possibly off-topic: the title of this post suggests an obituary, while the linked article is a lovely feature about a man still alive and having a different surname to the notional deceased. Am I missing something?

Fred Clarke was a Hall of Fame baseball player and manager.

I thought Fred Clark of Slacktivist had died; then I saw the dates.

I’m glad both he and the subject of the FPP are still alive.
