When he used to do these, Lynch was, to me, just some weird guy who made some movies or whatever. Since then I've watched Twin Peaks and The Return, and, well, I get it. These are wonderful and so welcome.

I wouldn't say it comes as a surprise that David Lynch's personal office appears to be a concrete cube, but it is something that I noticed.

iirc, he used to do this as a call-in correspondent segment for a punk radio station in... i think California (or maybe it was specifically a punk DJ on that station)? I only know because Timothy Olyphant mentioned it in a few of his interviews, because he used to do random sports updates for the same station as well.
