MacOS X for $82,402.02 CompUSA feels MacOS X is just that good.
Wow, no wonder the Mac users are pissed off about the upgrade price.

Surely they will provide for the permanent archival storage of this invaluable piece of history.

i've noticed a few online sellers that also have brick and mortor stores like to astromically jack up the prices of going to be popular items, probably to cxut out the employee perk of buying it before sale date.

Clearly Apple's merely trying to make the $129 price seem more reasonable.

Obviously, CompUSA uses a Microsoft database system.
Seriously...I wonder how this could have happened. It's such an odd number.

As someone pointed out at macslash, someone must have typed the expected ship date (8/24/2002) into the price field. But then I noticed that it was also mistyped - otherwise it would be $82,420.02, not $82,402.02. Double d'oh!

The Aloha was right. Working in retail, we, for example, had Windows XP at 9999.99 (U.S. of course) before release...
